Fixed differential group
delay - PolaDelay™
|
|
Product Summary
No more large spools of PM fiber are needed for generating a large amount of
differential group delay (DGD) between two orthogonal polarization states.
General Photonics’ compact device can provide pure first-order PMD with
values up to 100 ps with the standard package. DGD values up to microseconds
can be custom made with minimum charges. PolaDelay™ can be used to simulate
the PMD effect in the fiber link, check the performance of testing equipment,
or replace hundreds meters of PM fiber to equalize DGD accumulated in a
transmission fiber link for a PMD compensator. The compact and rugged package
provides high performance and superb environmental stability.
